HFRI-I Liquid Alternative UCITS Indices: Mid-October 2020 Performance Notes
Global financial markets gained through mid-October, recovering declines from the prior month despite uncertainty of the US election as well as increasing virus cases in Europe. US equities gained through mid-month, led by Technology & Energy; Banks led of the earnings season with strong results European & Asian equities also gained led by France, Germany, India & Australia. US interest rates increased modestly on the continued economic recovery, thought the US dollar declined on expectations for further economic stimulus measures. Commodity gains were led by Energy including Oil & Natural Gas; Silver & Aluminum led Metals gains while Sugar & Hogs led commodity gains.
The HFRI-I Liquid Alternative UCITS Index gained +0.71% through mid-October.
